The first question most people ask me when I say what I’m doing is why?! I think about this a lot and no doubt will still be thinking about it when I’m half way across America. There is not and will not be only one reason so for the moment I’ll explain the “why’s?” that I do know….
First of all, Christian and I were talking about his friend Tom Buckly (the insporation behind ‘Bike4Buckers’) and the cycle they had planned, it sounded great and a fun thing to do. Next thing I know I have agreed to cycle across the states with Christian! But after more thought and realisation it became clear to me that not only is this a great challenge to set myself but also a better chance to raise some money for a very worthy cause. And it wasnt hard to know which one to choose as having seen close friends go through awful times with cancer the motiavtion to help out in some way I know will get me 3777 miles on a bike!
